Spring is an exciting time of year. A few days of warmer weather and sunshine and everyone is dreaming about Summer. Literally, the saying ‘spring shower’s brings May flowers’ is very true where we live Beautiful British Columbia. I’m enjoying all of the Spring fashion ideas online and am super excited to put them into rotation when the warmer days arrive just next month. With that being said, these cooler (and rainier) days are a great time to rock some of my all time favorite fashion looks.

Coats are one of my shopping obsessions- I think I have as many coats as shirts lol. Bomber coats really hit it big last Spring and continue to trend this year. These short cropped jackets are a perfect lightweight garment when wanting to be totally casual. I prefer the ones that are tighter fitting, as they seem to be more flattering. If you are looking to be more dressy, the silk and embroidery ones are stunning, I am still in search of one with the perfect fit for me.

Runners are also a closet staple right now. Fashionistas everywhere are pairing their sneakers with outfits for all occasions; from dresses to casual streetwear. These Calvin Klein metallic gold runner literally go with everything, I personally have a ‘thing’ with mixing casual wear and formal wear; however, I seem to be able to swing it with these. Calvin Klein has been and is still one of my favorite designers. I find his collections affordable, trendy and good quality.

Finally let’s talk about my total crush! DISTRESSED DENIM! High-waisted, low-rised, total distressed, uneven hemlines; denim options seem to be endless these days. The ‘wornout’ jeans is one of those awesome trends you can still achieve if your clothing shopping budget is getting low. How? You likely have a favorite old pair of jeans kicking around in your closet that can be easily altered, ripping the knees out and fraying the hemline will give you the perfect look. Another great way to recycle your fav jeans, roll em up once like I did in this post. The ‘flood’ pant look is a great way to make capris out of your favorite jeans 🙂

7 other casual Spring trends I’m crushing on:

  1. Floral patterns
  2. One sleeve shirt
  3. Wedges with ankle straps (LOVE!)
  4. Jean jackets with embroidery
  5. High waited trousers
  6. Overalls
  7. Jean skirts

What’s in your shopping cart?

Would love to here from you, leave me a comment & subscribe to my blog!
Happy Thursday!
